What magic
possessed by these mortals,
to soar the heavens
and delve the oceans' deep privacy.
Fusion energy, technology's new child,
the babe lies sleeping. The songs humming
on lips young and new,
the laser comes
pristine song and the world waits with tired ears

Withdraw
touch this scarred planet
no more.
Remove the rigs, laid in steel
joints, bits and collars, greased and stained.
A blackened progress
that cannot see beyond tomorrow.
No more shall we desecrate her terrain, foul her air.
No more to assail the oceans in search of liquid gold.

What magic
possessed by these mortals,
to soar the heavens.
Sons and daughters of man
creatures of stellar dust.
And now dreamers of fantastic dreams.
We shall make stars
and know the gods.
